French Walnut Sideboard, circa 1920. Very good quality solid Walnut with hand carved decoration throughout. Raised panels on both the right and left ends of the sideboard. Good, clean original finish. A very pretty, clean and sound piece of French furniture.
A beautifully carved English Sideboard made out of Solid Oak in the Jacobean Style. This sideboard was made, circa 1900. It is wonderfully carved across the entire front. It has a nicely molded edge to the top. There are carved lunetts across the upper front. The doors exhibit a great example of Arcaded Carvings. The upright stiles on both the right and left sides show a beautiful Foliated Carving. It has well turned bulbous legs and nicely paneled sides on both the right and left. It retains a wonderful, original finish and is in a great physical state. It has an all pegged construction. This is a good example of a Gothic Revival English Sideboard.
This is a great example of an English William IV Pedestal Sideboard, made circa 1830. It is made of Mahogany and Crotch Mahogany. The wood is of the finest quality and has wonderful movement throughout the grain. There is a pedestal on both right and left sides that support the sideboard. The left pedestal opens to reveal a deep Wine Drawers over storage. The right pedestal opens to reveal storage over 3 pull out slides. There are 2 drawers to the middle between the pedestals. The top has a large and wonderful molded edge. Both pedestals have Gadrooned Carvings on the top and bottom of the door panel. There is a beaded carved molding right and left of each door panel and in the middle of the drawers. The sideboard is clean and sound in both physical condition and in the original finish. The brass Handkerchief Rail to the back is very unusual and very beautiful. On the right side of the sideboard there is a secret cupboard door for storing and or hiding things. It measures 90 1/2 in. wide x 27 in. deep x 36 in. tall ( to the serving surface ) and 48 in. tall ( to the top of the brass gallery ).
This is a Solid Oak Sideboard or Dresser Base made in England circa 1900. It is of the finest quality. The top surface has a nicely molded edge. The 3 drawer fronts have wonderful geometric moldings. The original solid brass hardware is of amazing quality. There are Split Ballusters,mounted vertically, that are hand carved on the right and left and between each drawer. Below each drawer there are Split Ballusters, also hand carved, that run horizontally. The entire piece is hand made with hand dovetailed drawers and pegged construction. Both ends are paneled. There are hand carved spandrel brackets beneath the drawer frames connected to the legs. The finish is original and in terrific condition. The piece is in a fabulous physical condition. The rear legs have a very unusual and interesting shape. The legs have a very nice and proper turning. This is a great piece of English furniture. It measures 70 in. long x 19 1/2 in. deep x 32 1/2 in. tall
