This is a Mahogany Bookcase / Secretary made in England, circa 1970. There is a layered crown molding to the top that is above a pair of beautifully Glazed cabinet Doors. The slant / fall front is on top of a chest base with 2 drawers over three drawers. The entire piece rests on a set of Ogee Bracket Feet. The entire piece is fabulously hand painted in a Musical motif. There are various musical instruments and flowers painted throughout the entire piece. The slant drops down to reveal a nicely stepped interior with 10 cubby holes, 4 drawers, and a central cupboard with Leather covered Document Drawers to it's right and left. There is a Green Tooled Leather writing surface. The back is tongue and grooved. Even though it is not extremely old, it is very unusual and of very fine quality. It measures 45 in. wide x 22 1/4 in. deep x 85 1/2 in. tall.
