This is a wonderful quality English Butlers Chest. It is made of Solid Mahogany and was made circa 1800. The chest retains it's beautiful, original brass hardware. It is in a very nice old original finish. The chest is in good, clean, and sound physical condition. The Top and Each drawer has a lovely molded edge. This is a very traditional 4 drawer chest. It rests on a wonderful, original set of Bracket Feet. The top drawer drops down to reveal a secretary / writing surface. The interior of the desk consists of 2 drawers right and left of a central cupboard. There are 4 open cubby holes above the 2 drawers. The central cupboard opens to reveal another drawer behind. The chest measures 43 1/2 in. wide x 22 in. deep x 44 in. tall. This is a great turn of the 18th and 19th century English Chest.
